custom rugby kit design help guide
As a business which has designed and produced custom rugby kits for three decades, we have amassed an extensive library of kit designs that, by registering for our Members Area, you will have access to.
As a starting point in helping you to decide upon a preferred design, we are displaying a small selection of our current designs in the section of your website titled “Custom Kits”.
Please use the ‘Product Categories’ we have listed to view any designs of shirts, shorts or socks that are of interest and complete the ‘Preferences’ and ‘Additional Information’ boxes on the selected Designs page and subsequent Request a Quote page to send us your initial enquiry.
Any additional information you can provide us with in support of your enquiry will help us to better understand what you are looking for and enable us to start creating an initial Visual design for your evaluation. This information could include: Our Primary club/ team colours are Canary Yellow, Black and Green; Change the central panel of the shirt to Green and the vertical stripes to Yellow and Black; Make the pattern on the sleeves and side panels green; Add our team crest to the left breast.
If you have any draft design ideas or existing artwork (current designs; team crest; sponsors logos; an example name or number in a specific font) that you would like us to incorporate in your concept Visual, please upload these files on the page titled ‘Request a Quote’ in the box provided.
If you are uncertain whether we can accept or use any artwork files you have, please refer to the Artwork Files Guidelines detailed below. Should you have any artwork files and need help in uploading them, please give us a call on: 01384 458 527 for further assistance.
Based on your conversation with our Creative Team and the details provided to us, we will prepare and email you a Visual for your evaluation.
Artwork Files Guidelines
We want to make sure that your final kit design, together with any team crests and sponsors logos printed as part of this design, are as vibrant and clear as possible, no matter whether the kit is to be worn by the smallest frame or the largest build.
We therefore look for any artwork supplied to us to be an editable Vector file that has originated from Vector Editing Software or files designed in Coral Draw. The Vector formats and file extensions include: .ai (adobe illustrator); .eps and; certain .pdf files.
The use of these Vector and Coral Draw file formats eliminate Raster Pixelation (image starts to blur when you increase its size) and will ensure that your design looks clear and crisp at any size.
If you are unable to provide files in the above formats, our Creative team can work with Raster files such as .jpeg, .png and .tif extensions. These need to be supplied at a minimum resolution of 300dpi however please be aware that the print quality may be affected if sizes larger than XXL are to be printed.
We may already hold some of your artwork on file. The more information you can provide us with, will help us establish whether we hold your team crest and/ or sponsors logos on file.
If you are unable to supply any of these file formats and extensions, we can offer you a re-draw service which we charge out at £40 + VAT per hour. Depending on the quality of the images supplied, it usually takes our creative department one hour to redraw a team crest or logo. Should a more complex crest, logo or multiple logos need to be redrawn, this will take longer and will be a chargeable extra based on the time taken.
If you experience any Artwork upload issues via this site or, if the files you are trying to upload are bigger than 20MB, could you please send your files to us at: team@badger-rugby.com via WeTransfer.
